Past children I have worked with....

Lately I have been thinking about the past children I have worked with and how they have made a impact on me instead of me just making an impact on them. The first daycare I worked at was in crete 2003-2006 I remember a lot of kids there but a few I remember the most. I was an opening teacher & closing teacher due to my class schedule. But I remember Sydnee and Jaxon. They were babies when I started and now they are in elementary school. I went to walmart the other day and saw Sydnee with her mom man she has grown up. I wish there was a way to keep up with everyone! After that daycare I worked at another one in Lincoln and started in the infant room and had Libby in there. I still talk to Libby's parents from time to time. It just puts a smile on my face when the children ask me to babysit or say when are you coming over again. It melts my heart. But love the fact that they enjoyed having me as a teacher as I have enjoyed teaching them. Some the children I had in the infant room I had a chance to be there teacher when I moved up to a head toddler teacher. Some of the parents requested that they be in my room! It was a relief to know that I did my job correctly and became close to those parents and also made transition time a lot easier for the children. I remember one little boy Garrett that just started in my room and he was attached to me at the hip...followed me everywhere! When his parents said they could longer keep them at this daycare because of Brooke being pregnant. I was sad and had tears in my eyes. I asked her if they ever thought of hiring a nanny! They talked to me and we made a decision. I became their nanny!!!! It was a good decision at that time and loved it! The children loved me and I loved them. I took the children to the zoo, library, and children museum.  I wish I still watched them. I miss these children a lot. I have not seem them in over a year. Hard to believe how kids grow up so fast.
I now watch 2 boys. one of the boys I watched at wvcdc and watched him on some weekends. When I moved back to Crete they asked if I could be there nanny. I took the job since I had no job. Porter it attached to me and cries when I leave the room! and is so excited to see me every morning! It puts a smile on my face.
Watching children for over 8 years has made me a better person. It made me caring, responsible, loving and passionate. I care about others. I put others before myself.  I can not see me doing anything else then working with children. I truly love it.
